Open up medicine to effective prevention and cure.

Recently someone quoting a Restaurant manager informed me that Naan, Kulcha, Rumaali Roti (type of Indian bread) is Non Vegetarian. But he forgot to inquire with the said manager whether he was
selling Ice cream, Coke and Pepsi and whether these products are Veg or Non Veg.

Also, add the following to your list of Non Vegetarian food.
Those who drink milk are not vegetarians. Show me a child who has grown up without milk.
Those who take Allopathic medicines/vaccines are not vegetarians.
Those who eat sugar are not vegetarians.
Those who eat mithai (Indian sweets) with varak (silver foil) etc. are not vegetarians.
Cheese and Chocolates consumers are not vegetarians, as both these contain rennet (or rennin).
Gelatin consumers are not vegetarians.
[Ofcourse vegetarian Gelatin is available. But Gelatin is largely made of extracts of boiled bones,
hooves and animal tissues].
Jelly is not vegetarian.
In oils beef tallow is used.
Those who eat Khara (salted) biscuits and cakes are not vegetarians.
Italian chef recently wrote that even Vegetarian soups in Italy (or for that matter in most western countries, I'd say) are made of pork or beef stock.

So, those who claim that they are 100 percent vegetarians are hoodwinking themselves. 100% vegetarian is a myth.

Here in the UK vegans are very knowledgeable about ingredients. We have lists and vegan society approved stickers which help and many supermarkets show clearly if products conatain dairy or egg products etc. It is not so hard to be 100% veggie.
On the subject of accidentally ingesting insects I think that is going a little far. I heard that while we sleep we ingest a certain amount of spiders in our lifetime. We can only do our best while awake.
I was recently dismayed to hear that a longstanding vegan brand of sausage mix (sosmix) are to add milk to their product. Outrageous!!!!

Yes, not even herbivore (grass-eating) animals are 100% vegetarian. Grass-eaters sometimes swallow insects by mistake. Without this intake of insects they would suffer from vitamin B12-deficency. Another example: when the female deer (etc.) give birth she eats the placenta to gain strength, which is very far from vegetarian.

Thanks Josef. Yes, others must participate in the discussion.

I think we're in agreement here.

What do others think?

That is precisely what I am emphasising. My submission is that even
the so-called proponents of 100% Vegetarianism like Jain pontiffs,
Yoga gurus of different hues and Hindu religious leaders, who believe in,
subscribe to and propagate about vegetarianism, are ignorant about
how indirectly they are made suckers and made to consume non-veg food.

And the important point that I am making is in the name of
one's belief of food choices as dictated by religions like Jainism, Hinduism,
the ominous influence of state imposed vaccination, medicines, various
commercial food products can be checked to enjoy better health.

So, while 100% vegetarianism is a myth because of manipulations, like there is
nothing like vegetarian soup in Italy, we must turn as much vegetarian as possible
for better health and longevity. I am sure you won't disagree to that.

What is so important about being a hundred percent vegetarian?

Absolutes are unobtainable, and I don't even think they are desirable.

For my part, I lean towards eating less meat, but won't forgo it completely.

I think it's our obsession of labeling everyone and everything that gets us in trouble.

I would like to hear the problems faced by Vegetarians all over the world.
